Sebald Beham

A miniaturist, draftsman, engraver, etcher and designer of woodcuts and stained glass, Sebald Beham (formerly known at Hans Sebald Beham) was one of the most prolific graphic artists of his time.

Plate 8 from a series of 21 woodcuts with scenes from the Apocalypse for Martin Luther’s translation of the New Testament. Four editions were published in Augsburg by Silvan Otmar between March 1523 and April 1524.
